‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ Teaser: There Doesn’t Seem To Be Anyone Around – Except Peter Dinklage

The depths of human loneliness can be cruel, as Peter Dinklage learns in I Think We’re Alone Now. One look at the brief teaser trailer for the film will back that up. Check out the tense and atmospheric footage above.

But things eventually will change in the R-rated film directed by Reed Morano, who won an Emmy for helming The Handmaid’s Tale, and scripted by Mike Makowsky. Here’s the logline: Del (Game of Thrones star Dinklage) is alone in the world. After the human race is wiped out, he lives in his small, empty town, content in his solitude and the utopia he’s methodically created for himself — until he is discovered by Grace (Fanning), an interloper whose history and motives are obscure. Worse yet, she wants to stay.

The latest film to borrow its title from a song, I Think We’re Alone Now won a Special Jury Award for Excellence in Filmmaking at Sundance, where it premiered in the U.S. Dramatic Competition section.

Fred Berger, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Fernando Loureiro & Roberto Vasconcellos and David Ginsberg are the producers. eOne’s Momentum Pictures, which scooped up the film about a month after its Park City bow, will open it September 14 in Los Angeles and New York, followed by a national rollout a week later.

Trailer For ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ – With Peter Dinklage And Elle Fanning [Video]

What would you do if you were the last person on earth? Other than riding a convertible trolley through empty aisles, of course?

While we all like to think we’d be alright on our own, Peter Dinklage is actually pretty good at it. After the human race is wiped out, he finds contentment in a journey of solitude.

Most post-apocalyptic movies conjure up images of sawed-off shotguns, stray dogs, and zombies. I Think We’re Alone Now shows a very different side to the end of the world.

Directed by Reed Morano of The Handmaid’s Tale, the Sundance success stars Peter Dinklage and Elle Fanning—seemingly the last two people on Earth. As Dinklage revels in the peace and quiet in a narrative akin to The Twilight Zone’s “Time Enough At Last“, Fanning relentlessly pursues their unlikely friendship.

Looks interesting, right? It’s cool to see a different perspective on something so overdone.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Morano had a clear vision:

“I like the post-apocalyptic genre, but it’s been done a million times, and I was looking for something a little bit weird, or just a little bit different tonally.

“I saw this opportunity to tell a post-apocalyptic story that breaks a lot of the conventions of storytelling in that genre.”

The film will be released in the US on September 21, so sit tight or do what you illegal kids were going to do anyway.

I Think We’re Alone Now — New Teaser Trailer

added: Fri, Aug 24th ’18

It’s the end of the world as we know it, and a misanthropic Peter Dinklage feels fine — that’s until Elle Fanning disrupts his lonely, solitary existence.

Check out a brand-new teaser trailer for “I Think We’re Alone Now,” a grim character drama set in the aftermath of the apocalypse, in which the “Game of Thrones” star plays Del, a moody, brooding recluse who believes he’s the last person alive on Earth. But when Grace, a young talkative girl (played by Fanning), arrives in Del’s dead-end town, she unintentionally creates an unstable environment for Del, who just wants to be left alone.

Written by Mike Makowsky (Take Me), “I Think We’re Alone Now” is the latest film from Emmy-winning director and acclaimed cinematographer Reed Morano, of “The Handmaid’s Tale” fame.

Winner of the Special Jury Prize for Excellence in Filmmaking at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, “I Think We’re Alone Now” is set to open theatrically in New York and Los Angeles on September 14th before arriving on VOD and Digital HD September 21st.

synopsis:

I Think We’re Alone Now teaser előzetes

Egyből felnőttre vágott teaser előzetessel jelentkezik az I Think We’re Alone Now című poszt-apok sci-fi-dráma, amelyben Elle Fanning mellett Peter Dinklage is főszerepet játszik. Néhány amerikai nagyvárosban mozikban is megtekinthető lesz szeptember közepétől, de szeptember 21-től VOD-ra is jönnek a fiúk. Eredetileg egyébként idei Sundance-es alkotásról van szó.

I Think We’re Alone Now újabb teaseren

Most láthatjuk, hogy a hullákkal kellett kezdeni valamit.
